Our Seven Point Plan has been developed to ensure we are doing everything we can to keep our guests and staff safe, whilst still offering a quality experience here. The plan is constantly updated subject to the lated guidelines.
The rules are relaxing in England on Monday 19th July – while this easing of restrictions means that some safety measures will no longer be a legal requirement, we are choosing to be cautious with our own procedures, and make slower changes. We’re a small family-run business, and the safety of our guests and staff is our most important priority. The procedures we will continue to use are outlined below.
Seven Point Plan:
- Pre-arrival
- We politely request that if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 that you call us to postpone your stay. These include: a high temperature, a new and persistent cough, or loss of taste and smell.
- We will send you an email the week before your stay to provide you with all the necessary information about your stay, our latest COVID-19 management processes and information about the local area.
- Arrival & Check-In
- We politely request that if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, you do not enter the Guest House. These include: a high temperature, a new and persistent cough, or loss of taste and smell. Any guests or visitors displaying COVID-19 symptoms may be asked to leave the premises.
- Hand sanitising stations will be provided at all entry and exits, customers will be encouraged to sanitise before entering the Guest House.
- If you have any special requirements, please let us know before you arrive so we can make the necessary preparations with everybody’s safety in mind.
- Common Areas
- We have set up hand sanitising stations throughout the property for you to use and we politely ask you to use these when entering the Guest House.
- When walking through the Guest House, we ask you to please be considerate of other guests, and keep a social distance where possible. We encourage the use of facemasks where you are likely to encounter others guests (in the stairways, hallways, reception etc).
- Bedrooms & Bathrooms
- Every guest bedroom and en-suite will be fully sanitised before each stay and then closed to ensure no contamination occurs prior to your arrival.
- All surfaces are thoroughly wiped down and cleaned prior to your arrival.
- Linens and towels are professionally washed on a high heat.
- All printed material has been removed from your room to avoid cross contamination – we will send you a link to our online Guest Information ‘Folder’ via email the week before your stay.
- Our daily housekeeping service has resumed – guests are asked at check-in whether they would like this service.
- Food & Drink
- Breakfast times will be agreed with you on check-in – we respectfully request that guests endeavour to adhere to times to ensure flow and guest safety at all times.
- We have extended our dining space to ensure tables are a minimum of 1m apart.
- Breakfast items usually on the buffet will be served on request to your table.
- We ask that you use the same table during your stay as much as possible.
- We ask that you please use the bathrooms in your bedrooms rather than the ones in the dining area as much as possible.
- Hand sanitising stations will be set up at the entry and exit points
- In our Honesty Bar, all items have been changed to individual servings. Hand sanitiser is provided on the bar.
- Check-Out
- From August 2021, our standard check-out procedures have resumed. Please check-out through reception by 11am on your day of departure.
- Our People
